Uhm prof?
I'm trying some chatterbox questions here and... uhm, my bot's acting strange - saying stuff that I never programmed it to...
Tester: "Can you tell me your name"
Bot: "My name is (Bot). You killed my father. Prepare to die."
!
!
The word "father" is nowhere to be found in his language center... I'm suspecting you forgot some test sentence in there somewhere...
... yup! I just tested it with another bot and it said the same thing.
By the way, I've already included responses for a lot of the chatterbox questions... I've noticed that you've got some logical responses to questions like "what color is the red apple?". If I've already taught the old bot to detect these tricky questions, which response will be used?
(I haven't tested enough yet to answer my own question, so I though I'd ask...)

The Professor: Make sure your Seek responses dont all contain (subj), as when the (subj) is blank, it skips to xnone, having nothing to fill it in with.
None of my seek responses contain (subj), but it still skips to xnone.

SirRahz, I attempted a fix on the gossip third-person thing. It should now translate "you" to "he/she" and "your" to "his/her".
I wrote some universal knowledge to test-type questions. It was either that or create new keywords, though... that really isnt necessary. Twelve days left... I'll run it past the contest guy. Oh wait- the questions WERE asked on the 15th or so.. so that's already done, folks!

Seeks on Xinitiates should now work. Let me know if someone can tell for certain if they do or dont. This should work on both inter-Bot chats and Bot-people chats.

It came up while I was in language center mode and clicked on a key word to up the rating. (The word was "star").
I just tried it again and although the USERID message didn't come up the alter key word window seems to have stalled.
I'll try it again.

Hey prof.
When bots gossip, (only noticed this after an "unknown Who Is" question), there is a space between the last word and the punctuation. This because of the space we have to put before and after the bot memories?

So:
Original: do you know how to eat pudding?
After Preprocess: do how to eat pudding ,
This is a problem! My guess is it has to do with new bot recognition -- "do you know so-and-so"?
Saved in this particular test by:
(Subj) Analysis:
Rough (Subj): pudding
From 5 to 5
NEW PhraseSubject: "pudding"
Top Context: eat
But still... this one comes up fairly often...

Cool, thanks. Here's a tidbit for the you/me file:
Stimulus: Why do you think that is?
Response: Let me put it to you: why do me think that is, indeed?
