ok, so if there is one there already, how do i use the plug-in for the seek? How do I apply it to the bot as a keyphrase or seek rather than a response?

You wouldn't want to use it as a keyphrase, but for a seek, you would just enter the plugin (_yes_) into the first text area. You could also do something like
(_yes_), whatever, else, you, want
if you needed additional specific things.

well what i want to do is make the list of positive responses be what the user will say and the bot respond to. It sounds like the way you say will have the bot say it tot he user. I want to bot to ask questions and the user to say yes or no, but they say so many things I need a huge list of keywords.

Well, for Bobbot, I don't use a general "positive response" keyphrase. The situation can be different each time. Sometimes you can have "fine" as a postive, other times, it can be meant differently. If you're asking them to do a command, "okay" could be a positive response. However, if you are not, okay could just be simple "Ok". So maybe a plugin isn't the best way to go???

Here is the list of words the 'yes' seek is supposed to pick up. If anything isnt getting picked up, let me know (make a list). Also, the + behind letters means that letter can be repeated (or not).

anywhere: ye+s+, yup, yep, uh-huh, uh huh, affirmative, ya+h+, ye+a+h+, yeh, aye, yeppers, yuppers, ayuh, certainly, si

full phrases: be my guest, sure, you bet, i guess, i will say, do i, do i ever, always, pretty much, no kidding, of course, every chance I get, fine with me, fine by me, it is fine with me, that is fine with me, without a doubt, more than anything, absolutely

CptGreedle: Thanks for the list. I just added: ye+a+, ya, alright, all right, definitely, nod, nods, ok, okay. And a couple more I thought of: aye-aye, clearly, obviously.

The rest dont quite work. Is there anything else in those plug-ins? I'm not quite sure about 'ok' and 'okay'. They're not a 'yes' exactly.. but do you think it'll work more than it'll be inappropriate?

Whether or not "ok" means "yes" depends on what was just asked. I usually just have "yes, ok" as the seek in those situations.

One more thing, I know I've seen things like I sure don't, I'm not sure, or of course not trigger yes responses.

Wow, I haven't been in here (PF) for awhile. Amazing how many updates there have been! (I am considering myself a newcomer there are so many updates)

In case your wondering where I've been, check out http://www.daxamite.com

Boner the Clown- The trigger in that case is probably "sure"

19 years ago #2615
or "of course". I know I put those in my seeks.

19 years ago #2616
Obviously.

My gripe is that the engine is way too easily confused by those synonyms of yes, especially since some of them are used far more often in another context. I'd rather have a yes seek that's triggered by the word yes, and nothing else.

I dont get the keyphrases thing. Should I put full phrases or only parts? How could I possibly use enough keyphrases to make this things smart enough to talk to?
