Here I'll be posting information on various Bot contests that challenge and test a Bot's AI and realism. Feel free to post comments and updates on contests, as well as announcements for new contests.

Eleven sure is a popular number with "people" misposting to the wrong forum, isn't it?

Spelt is an accepted form of spelled, and Mrow, does sound like a cat, so it is an ok onomonopoeia or how ever any of this is spelled, spelt, Hi Justina.

Congratulations to all those who did well in the 2005 Chatterbox Challenge. I'll be creating a "Hall of Fame" page soon that will list everyone who placed in past contests. I'll also update the home page and rotate different bots into those spots.

A PF Bot Contest is a good idea, and I hope to make it happen one of these days. Perhaps after the bot book comes out.

As to Cyc and the scientific AI community, I have yet to see anything impressive come out of there. It's maddening. Tons of money is thrown in those directions and it seems to me you get a lot of theorizing without ever getting a bot you can talk with. What I could do with a couple hundred grand! I have a plan for improving the AI here in vast strides, but I wonder if I'll ever get the chance. Gotta pay the bills.
