If anyone sees any publicity about the Einstein bot, please post a link

Slashdot discussed an article on an intelligent robot at nextfest, but it was just a really cool puppet. I'm waiting to see if "Einstein" shows up on any of the nerdy news sites. It's a good thing I only lurk. I'm not sure if the prof wants to be /. ed or Dugg now.

Yeah, that'd kinda suck.

well, i was at nextfest, and saw the einstein robot along with a japanese maid robot and a robot named "Jewels"... the bodies were desiged by a korean scientist, and the human-like appearance and facial expressions were done by Hanson Robotics. I never actually got to see Einstein chat, but i did see its robotic maneuvers. it was a pretty big crowd attracting scene.

i also got to meet Dr. David Hanson from hanson robotics, the korean scientist, and of course, the forge's own 'The Professor'.

yeah I saw "jewels" on inside edition (or some other crappy tabloid TV show) Granted, it was only a 30 second piece at the tail end of the show, but it was cool to see the robot, and nextfest featured on there.

I'm surprised they could spare a whole 30 seconds of anna nicole smith and company to cover something worthwile.

The bots are back!

Hoorah! Let's hope they're back for good and not just popping in for the holiday

I hate to be the one to mention the elephant in the room, but maybe the Prof would be better off going back to the old server?

Though it is a bit odd that they showed up during the bot holiday and then went away again. Maybe the bot holiday coming up inadvertently worked around whatever's keeping them from uploading?

It was nice while it lasted...
