This is a forum or general chit-chat, small talk, a "hey, how ya doing?" and such. Or hell, get crazy deep on something. Whatever you like.

i always dream about death. i don't usually die, though. everyone around me does. i also kill my best friend in almost every dream she has.

Pointless? Well i suppose that depends on the level of openness you have w/ your partner regarding your sexuality, the degree to which either party are insecure, and the trust level. If communication is open, both parties are secure, and they trust eachother then sharing such dreams can be a gateway to keeping sexuality alive and kicking in a longterm monogymous relationship.

Trust me, when you have an Irish Catholic girlfriend, and you say "Ya know, last night I dreamt that I was banging an Asian chick," it's a gateway to the couch.

Just a random thought: Why do they define "read" in the dictionary? Why would you need that definiton? Do they just feel like putting every word in?

Even better: Why is the word 'word' in the dictionary?

Word I can see, as there are a number of variations (like the angel Metatron, who embodies The Word in xian mythology; or 'When you see yo mamma tell her I said 'word-up yo''
but "Dictionary"
how would you know to look it up if you didnt already know its definition?

Slightly to the left of that, I've always liked the dry, self-deprecating nature of Samuel Johnson's definition of lexicographer in his eighteenth century dictionary:
"Lexicographer: n. A writer of dictionaries. A harmless drudge."
