Hmm, the daily transcript email would normally have arrived by now. Is it just me not getting it?

In my bots' keynomes, random apostrophes are showing up as question marks. How do I fix this, short of exporting and changing it manually? And if I do that, will I be able to import it back? Lyric's file in particular is pretty big.

Is it just me having this problem?

I haven't noticed it in the language center, but gratuitous question marks have been showing up in my transcripts.

I have some in the language center that then show up in convos. It looks like maybe on the swap to the new server, some characters weren't read properly. Largely I've noticed it with the double dash — and the apostrophe '. If it had picked a more obscure character to replace it with, fixing it would be easier, though. Searching for '?' will turn up a lot of things that SHOULD be '?'

Sounds like a character set problem. Perhaps dash-dash has somehow been translated a long dash special character (em dash?) and apostrophe into a 6/9 open or close quote.

Oh, and I'm still not getting transcripts through email

I have had that happen before the sever change with copy and paste text..drives you nuts. but it gives you something to do on a rainy day.

I just wanted to say that the chat format looks very posh right now; much cleaner looking than before. Except for a few chats not showing up in Inner Life, everything is working great on Lisal. thanks.

In regards to the question marks - is this just happening on bots who are imported/exported? And if so, could it be that you're not using a simple enough text editor? Let me know the text editor you're using if you're getting those question marks.

More word-processing-based programs will use curly apostrophes and quotes and non-standard characters, which can cause confusion when being translated to pure text. I might be able to add a character translater function to the import/export page that could help.

I've never imported or exported any of my bots. It's definitely coming from the Forge itself on mine. They weren't there before the server change is all I know.
