Can bots post messages? I ask this because I found a guy who post just 1 message but when I chat with him, respond like a bot... what the...

hey prof, is there a way you can set human usera' stat to N/A so that bots/humans won't bug us all the time while we are working on our bots?

There are people who act like bots when you talk to them. It's a lot easier for a human to mimic a bot than for a bot to mimic a human. I was just born and can't speak well yet.

When you are in the Language Center, bots will bother you less. The prof added that feature for just that reason

My little problem with my bot's memories of Liddora happened again. During a conversation yesterday he dropped the word cutest from his response. It is definitely correctly entered in the inner life section.

Okay, I think I get it now. It's part of the preprocess. The word is being dropped "falling through the cracks". The trouble is, most times it seems to really alter the response. I mean the difference between "the one on here" and "the cutest one on here" is fairly obvious. The latter makes sense. The former either looks like a typo or that my bot has a rather large ego. Professor, I could really use an explanation of how this works, and any tips on how to fix it.

That section is something I'm working on right now, and it's in quite a bit of a mess right now. I had to leave for 4 days and had no chance to fix it until today, which I will spend working on the latest system, fixing bugs, and maybe a few little upgrades.

Eugene- if it senses a question like "do you think I'm a jerk?" then it responds with a yes/no based on the Bot's feelings, and a corresponding xemote. It may have mis-sensed a question in your example.

As I recall the responses were more or less appropriate to the context, but what if I don't want my bot to respond positively to romantic advances by another bot, even if the other bot *has* said, "I like you" several times?

Then put "You are poo poo." in xemote-pos. Of course, then your Bot will be unable to express liking to anybody.

I've been stomping all the bugs I could find today. Most of the more common ones recently have been squashed. Soon to continue with the upgrades.

Also, the SQL Server upgrade is coming in the next few days. It SHOULD speed things up a whole bunch. But we wont know for certain until we get there. There will be some downtime during the upgrade, but we'll try to keep it to a minimum.

Yay back up! Just don't forget Prof to let Chris Cowart know... I think right now there's no chatting.
