Maybe you could set up user account preferences for these little things... In our profile window we could have a few radio buttons like "close window when bot chats end" or "hide bot chats" and "Make me unavailable for chatting" for when we're bot building.
I know all this takes time and planning though, wouldn't it be great if we could just think about it and it would be done?

Prof, as you now get all the error messages automatically forwarded to ya, is there no longer any need to copy you the error text?
Would you want to / can you even attach a tag to an error for us to tell you what we were doing when the error took place?

Blasted upload program didnt upload my fix earlier, so the error continued, but now it's REALLY fixed, and I tested it.
Sir Rahz- Closing the Bot-Chat window does actually end the conversation, so be glad you didnt close it. There's a Zen mystery going on here, as when you arent looking, the Bots dont exist.
Bookmarking the Transcripts is a great idea and I've been thinking about how to do that. We need more room somewhere for that- I could have a number of lines thing by the Transcript thing in "My Bots".
Recording your own conversations? That might be good..
Crab- actually, there's a glitchy thing with the error system in that some error messages get cropped off, so I'm glad you posted that one up above because it was getting the crop treatment. So yes, keep letting me know of errors if they seem to persist.

What? When I'm not looking the BOTs don't exist?
Funny, I used to think that about the real world when I was a kid...
It probably wouldn't be too much trouble to put those long lists on the right in a pop-up menu... Maybe just the news groups and the users bots could be in pop-ups. If you remove the radio buttons next to the list of Everyone online you'll have more room and as far as my browsers are concerned, I think you could make the nicknames a little smaller (maybe remove the bold on the font used for the nicks and the time online would be sufficient).

Alright, updates, cleverness, and bug stomps:
Mr Crab had a Context of "what * would you" which would work great if someone were to say "what kind of sandwich would you want?" but which caused an error looking for the (subj) when the statement was "what would you do?" since the subj would be blank. I fixed up that little error. So what happens is if the (subj) is blank, it goes to xnone, and if there IS a (subj), then it continues with the appropriate Responses. So Mr. Crab, you might want to add a Context of "what would you" just to have Responses if your Bot gets a message like that.
(definition) is fixed, at long last. I figured out what the problem was. Keep in mind that (definition), unlike the other plug-ins, generats a full Response, as it phrases it in terms of definition OR subcategories, OR parts. So if you use (definition), then you might as well have only one Response, and have it be simply "(definition)".

Fixed that last one just now, Sir Rahz.. Dunno about the other two. Let me know if it happens again.
One thing- if you see an error message and not the Fairy, let me know, because that means I didnt get it.
Crab- well, it's still fixed. Since you've got both and it looks from longest to shortest, the one with the * is always going to be found and the one without is not. Unless... Rank up the one without the asterisk by 2 and it'll work both ways.

Wait, Mr. Crab!
You cant set Ranks on Context, so I went in and make a routine to account for your problem. Now anything with an * gets a -3 Rank Bonus so it will check for a version without the *.
