HEY YOU GUYS!!! I'm trying OmniWeb (for Mac OS X) on a regular basis now and it's way cool! I can't believe how fast the login window and home page loaded for the forge and... it's even underlining my spelling mistakes as I type this message!

Lately I've been trying iCab and Opera a lot too - they're both available for PC and work pretty good on the forge (in my experience). Is Exploder as slow on a PC as a Mac on this site? I mean, usually it's pretty fast, but something about the JavaScript on this site really makes it hang on Macs... Just wondering.

I feel it's good to mention alternative web browsers, otherwise we'll all get sucked into Explorer hell just because Netscape's slowly dying...

Uh... Gee, how come the "forums" frame isn't reloading anymore and no chats are being initiated unless I click somewhere? Back to iCab for forgin' I guess.

OmniWeb is good but the dimensions of all pop-up boxes are about 1/2 what they are defined to be, which is a pain.

Personally I don't have a problem with Explorer. I thought the only reason for rejecting it was if you were boycotting Microsoft.

I tried Opera and it is really weird with the forums. It's like it caches the first one you go to and then ignores the query string when you click on another, taking you back to the one you were just on.

A double mistake:

bot: I am always touched by your presence, dear
fanboy: How long have you been colorful by fanboy's presence?

Colorful???
It seems like you could get rid of "your"'s conversion altogether I can't think of any instance where it wouldn't translate to "my".

Yes, exploder is as slow (sometimes) as on a mac

I guess I've never compared it to anything but Netscape. Speaking of which, there's a really funny link on the subject; go to www.vbthunder.com and click on the link that says "click here to see why this site appears poorly in Netscape Navigator".

I couldn't find the link Eugene. By the way, do you use Mac or PC with Explorer? I've never tried the forge on a PC.

I just went through the weird symptom in the forums with OmniWeb too. I read the 4 forums on the bottom starting with Seasons and then when I went up to the bug stomp forum, it reloaded Dogh'd's forum... Perhaps 'cause of the order I went through them or the fact that I posted a couple messages in the forum that "stuck". Anyways, loading the bug forum in a new window loaded the correct page (here I am).

Uhmm... I can't keep my mouth shut on this one, but I'll try to not let my exuberance show too much here...

I think it's good to somewhat boycott any company that tries to become "the only option". Each one of us has the responsibility to ensure that variety is predominant in these modern times. Variety is strength - Microsoft can only be the strongest *sometimes*, otherwise it'll become a weakness for all of us and eventually, even itself. 'nuff said.

Every company tries to dominate the market. It's called capitalism.

I use a Windows based computer; I've very little experience with Macs and can't make a comparison.

Did you find the website itself?
