My bot just spat this out:
mark the hunk: Good day how are this fine Monday?
Westerlin Man: I'll tell you this...I do the Dew!
That is a programmed response for him, but it's to the keyphrase, "do you".

djfroggy, sometimes the preprocessing adds on 'do you' to the front of the input when it doesn't recognize anything else. Add some more keyphrases and it shouldn't come up as often.

I am wondering if I can add another Account name to my bot. I mainly work on him, but my partner likes to jump in there from the office on occasion and tweak him a bit. We are having a lot of fun with this, but it would be easier if I could add him onto my account somehow in another name. Also, when will Polaris begin to 'greet' other human chatters for a conversation here?

isaac,
It sounds like Simulo was somehow borrowing rhetoric from Braeden. In response to the keyphrase, "do you", Braeden sometimes says, "All I do is sit in my cell and think and sometimes talk to brainless idiots." He also says, "Have you ever tried to (postkey) while locked in a small cell?"

That's totally weird. I don't see why language from Braeden would have entered into that conversation ...

K, Prof, here's more details:
Jake responded to 'So?'
with: "sympathetic with my pleasing butt? Heh I've never been like that"
The keyphrase that he got that from was 'I am *'
and the response that he used was '(postkey)? Heh I've never been like that'
I ran it in debug mode and he responded like he should have in the first place (with an xnone).
---
I noticed that he's done this a few times in the past with different keyphrases and when I ran the same thing past him, he responded normally again.

And he did it again -.-. he used the same keyphrase and response as I listed in the message above. And again, in debug, it went back to normal.
Bot: Oops! There is no Keyphrase 'i' to go to.
JakeThompson: ' over this territory? Heh I've never been like that

Many of these problems deal with the Language Center incorrectly trying to fill in the blanks for sentence fragments. When it works, it's great, and you probably dont notice.. like.. "Having a fun time?" would be completed to "Are you having a fun time?" ideally. And "Want some butter?" would be completed to "Do you want some butter?". It works more than it doesnt, but it needs some treaking.
Dunno about the borrowing Responses from other bots.. the spirit of Gaia in the machine?
Skysaw- the AI Engine attempts to return just one word type per word- the correct one. Sometimes it cant figure it out though. But that's the ultimate goal, so I'm not going to build a system to match unknowns- rather spend time making them knowns.

Recently a lot of chat windows get closed for no reason even before the text appears and sometimes they don't appear at all (IE6). Though the transcripts tell me that the bots answered.
When I'm using Mozilla Firefox the second or third chat window is always blank (but that's maybe just me and my lack of experience with this browser).
Never had these problems before.

Prof,
Improved accuracy in the word type would be almost as good, so I'm glad you're tackling at that angle. On that subject, the words "this," "that," "these," and "those" register as adjectives exclusively. Can they be switched to pronouns? Matching on (adj) is very ugly when it hits those words.
