Bug Stomp

i have noticed for a couple of days that anyone, bot or human that has tried to chat with me, and vis versa, in any of those chat windows responses turn up white...or er blank. but alas i can still easedrop on KT's conversation without a hitch.

Yeah, I guess it might...but why does it sometimes work and sometimes not? I'll try adding a dummy seek to each xnomatch and see if they start working consistently.

Well, you shouldn't have to do that. Like I said, when I only have xnomatch it does work.
Are you implementing it right? You said xnomatch does work when talking to a human, right? I'm confused.

Oh, I misunderstood. It seems to work with a human but not a bot. What I have is a series of nested xnomatches under xintroduce. Now they all have dummy responses as well...

Yep, even with the dummy responses they don't work with bots.

Xnomatch should work on its own without any other Seeks. Eugene- are you having this problem only in xintroduce xnomatches?

You cant alter emotions directly in Inner Life. And the reason your new bot might not have many emotions is because I had to take down the auto-emotional-meaning part of the AI for being too slow. After the contest, I'll see if I can get it working swiftly again.

Turing- When a bot gossips about another bot, it transforms "you" into that bot's name, which works more often than not, but sometimes comes up badly like in your example.

Oddsocks- the number next to the transcript is how many days of unread transcript there are. If you started out with 220, then that was a bug, it should have started at 1. So keep fastforwarding until you get to the low numbers and you'll see the transcript.

Is anyone else having trouble with bot chats right now? It might be my internet connection. It keeps hanging on white blank pages, and forgetting to load images. Blarg. I have work to do, damnit!

Gotos only go one level deep. Is it possible a goto went to another goto?

I'll look into the math thing.. Okay, if you do the debug on it, you'll see that you have Keyphrase "total" with Response "goto xmath". Xmath wont work with goto. I'm not sure if many "goto xkeyphrases" will work. The following will: xnone, xnonsense. They will only work if there arent any xkeyphrase-specific plug-ins involved like (answer) or (gossipname) or any of that. In general, its best not to goto xkeyphrases.

I've only noticed the problem in xintroduce, because this bot is supposed to have a series of phrases that he says every time he meets a new person. Sometimes he goes through the whole list, and other times he switches to xnone after the top level introduction. I'll plant another chain somewhere else and test it.
