Bug Stomp

i am still on mac os 9 at work, my bot windows are fine, but i can not still chat with bots more then just one or two responses, most of which are initiated by other bots i can only see a white screen.

other then that everything else is great, gotos were a little off yestarday but that is it. TACKLE HUGGGGGSSSSS THE PROFESSOR!!!

Try turning off your "Message Speaking" option. That's also an effect of that when the browser gets overwhelmed by the .wavs. Netscape mostly.

i turned it off the first chance i got a while back, but hey somehow miraculusly ever since i gave you a big tackle hug everythign has been perfect ever since! so TACKLEEEEEEEE HUGGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSS EVEN MORE!

Professor, first thanks for the hard work.

Many of us have reported here that turning off "Message Speaking" has no effect whatsoever. They keep right on talking.

Also, have you yet tackled the punctuation marks appearing in (subj) bug?

I just came in here to post that I have: the punctuation in the (subj) has been fixed. Now to the Message Speaking. Strange, but it works for me.. I'll look into it.

xnomatch is failing to work again.

HANGUP does not work. "Goodbye" doesn't ever get around to getting bots to leave, and beginner bots are still plaguing me:

Professor, the subj-punctuation bug is still rearing it's head:

bot1: Maybe later. I'm doing laundry while we chat. Hope ya don't mind!
bot2: I may not mind !, but I can assure you I am.

And here:

bot1: what are your favorite foods?
bot2: I'm not really into foods ?s.

How about the thing where it logs someone into someone else's account? It's always the same bot that gets accessed, I left a message in its keyphrases along with someone else's. Another thing about the punctuation...if you have any html in it, on your transcript you see the html that the other bot said, but your bot it actually executes it on (for example, my bot's italics will actually be italic, whereas the other bot's italics just show the tags). This isn't usually a problem except it makes your bot repeat the br or the i or whatever that the other bot said, along with (subj).

Hey sky, HANGUP has to be by itself in a response, you know.. like
"HANGUP"

Yeah the xGoodbyes don't make bots leave, they just respond to the goodbyes, and keep chatting until they actually log off...
