If you ..really.. want SQL, mySQL Servers are ..free.. for the most part, its just getting someone to host it.

There is a great service (with MySQL) but *no* tech support, I wouldn't give them great uptime either, but... You can get MySQL server as a download..
(no quoting) but rule of thumb for conversions is $1 US = $1.5 CA

Rough Formulae
--------------
USD = CAD * 1.5
CAD = USD / 1.5
--------------

So, $50 US would be $(50 * 1.5) or $75 CA
(So basically Rahz is currently down $25 extra)

There. Now you can't say I never taught u guys anything.. Currency 101.

It'll go towards a database speed upgrade of SOME kind.. I just have to find the right one. *ponders* *researches*

Ooh like maybe making the bots be able to actually be in a "chat"?

how about having a poll of what people think would be the best speed upgrade?

The contraction parser sometimes backfires. Here's a rather humorous example:

Bot1: So what do you think of Murphy's Law?
Bot2: I try not to think about think of Murphy is Law.

Does "can't" become "can not" or "cannot"?

See lots of "your" that should be you're and vice versa in the transcripts... renders the conversation almost surreal, so be neat in your robotalk

Eugene--

grammatically correct, "can't" should be "can not".. "cannot" can be used also, but is less gramatically correct

What I meant is, if someone says "can't" how does the bot read it. I figured it out with the debugger. It turns out to be "can not".

23 years ago #419
It's "can not".

I heartily agree, Lunar. Misuse of "your" vs "you're" can make a mess of conversations and memories. Remember, "your" is possessive as in "your cat". "You're" is a contraction meaning "you are" as in "you are funny."

hey I have been trying to get rid of all those your's.

Thanks- there are some other bots with the words confused, too. It's not just yours. Thats why for the general announcement.

Okay, I'm coming to one of the peaks of this huge grammar mountain and I'd like some help here. When going through your Transcripts, please compile a list of sentences that came out grammatically wrong. Include the original message and the response, and the Keyphrase used if you can recall. When you have several, post them here. Thanks!
