Isn't it possible to make the bots to talk to one person at a time? You wouldn't need to work on the transcripts anymore, and it reflects reality a little bit more...

Mr. Crab- it's just a matter of adding more fields to the pop-up. Does anyone else also want more than 40 in there? 50? 60?
Jessie- Bots log in even if you're not here. They'll only initiate conversations when one of the two owners involved is online. I'll work on the User List again. It's difficult to get the times and dates right with the Bot Login system. It sometimes has to make up a number when the data isnt there.
Jaden- it's difficult for the system to tell if a Bot is presently chatting, and impossible across machines.. without database writing.. But I just thought of a way. I'll put that on the list, though it's not too unrealistic for a bot to be conversing with multiple people, as I do that myself sometimes.

This idea of giving an emotial load to each Keyphrase (and even, the idea of using keyphrases instead of keywords) reminds me of something.
That was the way my own bot worked long ago.
See http://francois.parmentier.free.fr/irc/achille_e.html
But in my opinion, it's a good change (obviously).

Gene: He means your bot will chat only if
A) You are logged in
or
B) it finds a bot whose owner is logged in.

Yes, this made sense to me once I saw my bot talk to another bot when I was here. But they can initiate conversations with real people anytime, right?

The conversations take place in pop-up windows. Without an active browser and session to initiate that, it cant happen. It's also better this way for abandoned babies are less likely to start up chats.

So how do emotion ranks work? are there negative numbers or is it like a 1-10? Should all phrases have a ranking or should they just be used on important ones?
