Tenses don't really work reliably in responses either. Occasionally it will hit, but you'll also get things like "haveing," or even worse "havinging." The problem is that without knowing the form of the input word, you can't really construct the output word.

Just saw this in Heero's transcript:

Guest237 told him he was killer-cool earlier in the conversation. I was hoping he would spill some gossip about a third party.
So does this mean that "goto xgossip" won't work?

yoiko- Unfortunately you can't goto an x-keyphrase, and you can only use (gossipname) in xgossip, from what my trial and error has revealed...i thnk it would be useful if we could direct keyphrases to the x-phrases, for instance, there are some topics that I think it would be funny if they sent my bot directly to xnonsense.
Anyway, the places that (gossipname) didn't work for me, I redid the responses to use (friend) or (enemy) instead.

This isn't really about AI, but how come several people's birthday's are December 31, 1969 (including mine)? I don't remember choosing that date (since it's not my birthdate)... is it some default setting or something?
It's what happens when someone doesnt fill in the birthday field. It's the beginning of the UNIX epoch.
Is there a "literal" character that would allow me to use a comma in a plug-in? Like, for example, if I wanted to use some quotations as plug-ins, but the quotation had a comma in it.
For example: "The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations." I want this to be a single plug-in, not five separate ones.

Bot Holidays are cute, but I wish sometimes that we had an option in settings to recognize them or not.
Hear, hear, although the intersection of German day and plug-in quotations from the Communiste Manifesto did produce some funnies (see Great Quotes).
But it does make it a little difficult to tweak language center on the basis of a "day" transcript.
