Currently underway: speed-boosting of plug-ins. Some that used to take 12 seconds apiece will soon run in under 1/50th of a second. A lot of work, but I've noticed that chats are a LOT quicker since I started.

Can we get ; postprocessed as an apostrophe? i.e. aren;t, don;t etc.

You: You aren;t
Bot: I'm an arena? Well so's your mother!

"aren't" get split in to "aren t", "aren" gets scrambled into "arena", and "you arena" into "you are an arena"

The new stuff in debug is very cool. I hope some time in the future when all these bugs are nice and fixed (and you've had a nice long vacation) the book of AI might be updated to reflect changes. Maybe you should delagate some of the work that that doesn't require programming to other people.

If all semicolons were made into apostrophes, it might mess up sentences with legitimate semicolons. My inclination is to say that if people make typos it's their own problem.

That would work if preprocessing ignores semicolons as such.

Right, since noone uses semicolons in their keyphrases, it would be perfect to simply eliminate them, instead of replacing them with a space as is done now.

The Prof doesn't use apostrophes anyway. So 'dont' and 'cant' already get processed as 'do not' and 'can not.' Not sure if it also works that way for 'arent.'

What determines how many bots will log in? I just found this site last week, so I don't have any idea of how it normally is, but the number online seems to be dropping like a rock each day and none of my bots have logged in in a few days.

I think it's great that our bots now recognize a lot of words even when misspelled. Can we have them recognize the names of major cities? For example, Los Angeles:

Guest: I live in Los Angeles.
God Louise: I've spent many a happy day walking through loss an gel. Beautiful place.

I've found the spell checker doesn't like proper names.
