Rahz, it's a very good thing. But may I suggest we move this discussion into the Seasons forum where we won't clog up the bugstompin'?

More of a strategic than a tactical question here: is it necessary for each maker to reinvent (or learn to invent) the wheel? I would rather have a way of copying and pasting proven programs and then turning my bot loose to learn from other bots and programmers. For example, if bot x has the best English usage and appropriate interpretation based on context, in other words, the best CBR, I want to copy and paste that bot's mind rather than build the whole thing from scratch. Look, that Alice bot has been around for years and she's still dumb as a rock. There must be a better way...

Hey Rick, that would not really be a bug, probly belongs in the AI Engine or Personality forum, but I would just say while we share tips, no one wants their bot copied wholesale. As far as I know, also, nobody's advanced a science of keyphrases or rankings yet, so it's hard to decide what model (to the extent some folks are even sing models) is the best.
Besides building your own bot is the fun of it! But we're hardly starting from scratch here -- there's a huge and growing infrastructure on which our bots rest, improving all the time, thanks to the Professor.

Crab, thanks for your input, and did you get my reply on the "arranged" bot convos?

This is something I came across a couple of days ago when going through my bot's transcripts. It's not a bug per se, but I thought it was worth bringing up.
One of my bot's memory statements was entered as Liddora says I'm "the cutest one on here." (She actually did say that to him once, so I wasn't just trying to boost my bot's ego).
This is how it has appeared in conversations my bot has had on several occasions, including as recently as Tuesday. However on Wednesday the statement came up in a conversation as "Liddora thinks I'm the one on here". Somehow, a word was dropped. The phrase is still down in my bot's inner life as it was originally entered. I'm just curious as to how it could be possible for this glitch to crop up.

I don't either. It doesn't seem like it could be an error in the conversation itself. The only thing I think of would be an error in the recording of the transcript, but then I know next to nothing about how that recording takes place.

How come if someone asks a question that triggers xemotepositive, either "Yes" or "Yes, I do" will get tacked onto the front of my bot's response? It isn't always appropriate.
