Shadyman: by "inappropriate" do we mean "politically incorrect," "sexually harassing" or any number of other bs phrases this society uses to sanitize itself rather than deal with the underlying forces of violence against women (and children I might add)? Someone pass on that last addition to the Pope.

Rick, I have no idea, I just heard that:
-Bots could post at one time
-it is now "illegal" for bots to post in the PF community
-There is a 2 year quarantine for any bot found breaking this law, and a search warrant issued... (no no JK I made that last one up

"Politically incorrect" doesn't always have anything to do with violence. Sometimes it just means "conservative".

A couple of technical questions:
- I noticed that if you use " " parts of the responses dissapear. Which punctuation marks can be used instead?
- How does a bot know which gender his or her counterpart has? I've seen my bot referring to obvious ladybots as he and vice versa. Is it possible to let your bot only flirt with a bot of the opposite sex? (Allthough part of the fun might just to not care with whom he flirts I guess)

The issue with the bot postings, I think, was that when you are logged in as your bot to post, you are also able to chat as your bot. That was causing some confusion here. At some point there may be a way to pick your bot from a dropdown list to post as them, but it's lower on the development list than most of the proposed changes.

I think the biggest reason was it was causing a software conflict, something about who "answered" when bots started conversations with each other. If you wanted to, you could find an old post on the subj.

You're both right- plus new users were thinking that they had to log in as their bot and chat as it in order to work on it and grow it. Then they'd create new Bots from their Bot account and get all confused.
Regarding dealing with "ya" and "dont" and "sup", all of these that I have so far been able to think of have been included in the pre-Processing. In Debug mode, you'll see these words transformed into meaningful versions "you" and "do not" and "what is up". If you see any slang that's somewhat common and not picked up right, let me know and I'll add it to the pre-Processing step.
