Prof, we should have a "N/A" option for bots with undetermined sexuality - they would be referred to as "it" or "its" or "itself" depending on the tense...

The trouble I have with seeks (discussion continued from the "Great Quotes" forum), is that once I get one going, I end up spending all night perfecting it to account for all the possible outcomes of the conversation, 'cause I don't think seeks can "goto" anything yet. Prof, can seeks either goto keyphrase or other seeks within their keyphrase? Maybe we could come up with some kind coding that would allow us to jump from one seek to another seek, even if it's related to another keyphrase... Something like goto SomeKeyPhraseHere:SomeSeekPhraseHere.
Our bots would be able to jump around from conversation to conversation - just like my parents do!

Aren't you afraid those changes will slow everything down tremendously? (very impressive though)

Ah, I had no idea that bots looked at our accounts. I had no clue that I had signed in as female! Then again, I just skim through most forms.

I think with some kind of specific syntax (like the one I described in #388) the system would be able to handle it with out too much extra searching and calculating... should be able to check for them real quick like the rest of the keyphrases... (I think... could easily be wrong though)

The site advertizes that you can build bots without programming experience, but as we advance in complexity we start asking for functionality that sounds more and more like a programming language.

It's true.. but I try to keep it simple.. and allow you to get more complex if you want to. Maybe I'll write up some "lessons", stages of how to proceed.
NEW THING! Sir Rahz, you got your wish. But you need to be my test bunny and tell me if it works. You'll see that Seeks in your language center now have a Goto value. Seeks can now Goto other seeks by putting "goto 8147" as a Response. Or they can goto Keyphrases in the usual manner: "goto i want to". Let me know if it works. I have yet to test it.
And you're right that it wont put any strain on the system- no more than normal gotos.

As we were just mentioning in our quick chat good night - the new and improved deluxe seeks with extra gravy sauce work great!!! I'm starting to think we're going a little too far now... I have so much intelligence to program right now! (must... go... to... sleep!)
You may want to check the new seek function out on your end though, 'cause they seemed to take a little while to answer me. I was testing with the debug and it stalled for a while (like about 15 seconds) before quickly loading the page.

lady - on all existing goto's, you see a number beside them. Anywhere in your bot, you can say "goto 83652" to go to the seek marked 83652
