Bot Contest

The rule about the program running locally is supposed to prevent the possibility of somebody cheating and having a person instead of a bot at the other end. But even in the old days before communications were what they are now people could see that a good entry could have problems with that, if the program runs in a computer that can't be easily moved and the program can't be easily ported to another computer. And this has become the reality for web-based bots. I think the Loebner contest has to stop ignoring the reality and find alternative ways of making sure that all the participants are bots.

Any guesses about when we'll get to see the scores for the general knowledge questions?

It's on the chatterbox challenge site under "Results". I think we're only waiting on the "Best Overall" prize.

That gives the top scores. But then it says, "For a breakdown of all the scores see the bot's individual page." However, when I go to individual bot pages, the scores are not there.

I've only seen scores for bots that were listed in the the "most knowledgeable" category. I think they are the only scores that were uploaded.

How do i enter in to a bot contest?

Well Zara, you have to wait till one is announced. Then you have to submit your bot along with a dna sample and your first-born child. Then they might let you in.
