Whew, quite a lot to catch up on. First things first, is that I fixed and improved the Favorites feature. It's working again, and it's also more flexible when it finds a word-group it doesnt recognize. And when it cant find anything, it inserts "good one" as in "my favorite xblorgs is a good one". This will be the sign that any favorite question OR (typeof-xblorgs) is not found in WordNet. Also, extraneous punctuation in Favorites has been fixed.

hmmm *gets an idea* "The only good (type) is a dead one."

Nice.

I'm working on zapping all the orphaned Keyphrases and Responses. I discovered a problem with Karisma and Brianna- both had a blank Keyphrase, which was causing all their problems. I'm not sure how that happened, as I have code in place to prevent that, so just a note to try not to enter blank Keyphrases or Seeks.

I tested Karisma and she's working properly again.

I tested xnomatch and found that it was working, but it was nixing other Seeks around it, so I fixed that. Lemme know if there's still problems with it.

One of my bots has a series of xnomatchs that he always uses when introducing himself to a new person. The last few times, he has started the sequence and then broken off into an xnone. He hasn't introduced himself to anyone for a few days, so I don't know if it is working now or not.

Oops, I was looking at a transcript from the wrong bot. He introduced himself to someone today, and the xnomatch seek didn't work.

For those on tiny or low-res screens, I've reduced the pop-up boxes in the Language Center. Let me know if they work now, and if they're too short.

Eugene- I'll look into that in a bit. I need a break.

Hey prof, for the empty keyphrases, couldn't you use something like

For I = 1 To 40
txtResponse.Text = Trim(txtResponse.Text)
Next I
Needless to say txtResponse won't be the names for the text boxes, and I would have to be declared, but from what I've seen, ColdFusion isn't that far off from VB so the Trim() function will work

Oops I meant

txtResonse(I).text = Trim(txtResponse(I).Text)

Basically it just goes through all of them and takes leading and trailing spaces off the ends (But you alredy knew that I bet i just like to explain technical stuff so people don't just say "what?" and completely lose interest in the topic)

Another thing I want to point out, with your bots (not that it's really a bug, just a pointer) in inner life, if you leave the end of an entry with a comma and nothing after it, your bot will say (eventually) something along the lines of 'Soandso told me she likes .' or 'Soandso hates .' because it is looking for a word or phrase after the comma but there is none, so that's put in as an option to be chosen.

Just so you know why your bots may be saying stuff like "Steve Slacker likes ."
