All right then, mr. identity, what is your favorite color? Ha ha! (Color is irrelevant, but part of an identity, just as personality, friends(which borg assimilate them all)!)

Our favorite color is the color of Particle 010. Furthermore, you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Ooops.. Sorry about that nanovirus then.

How is it possible that a collective has favorites, or even definite interests, apart from assimilation?

Robby, will you put up in your page a transcript of your conversation in the Loebner contest? Since you didn't pass as human, we'd all like to know how "botlike" you were. Theoretically, six bots sounded more human like you.

The way I see it, if the results of the contest are admitted as valid, all the bots that were above Robby passed the Turing test, and should share the big prize. If they aren't admitted as valid (and personally, I don't think they are, after the transcripts I've seen), then the Loebner contest should be repeated, with a lot more care this time to do things right.
I guess it's Mr Loebner the one that has to decide if the results were valid, isn't it?

Actually, in Star Trek Voyager it came out that the main objective of the Borg was to achieve perfection. Assimilation was a means to that end. But what they really wanted was the Omega Particle.

yes, the perfect particle

Aha, Robby. That translation has Joy saying that SHE is a chat-bot, anda chat-bot who creates a winning chat-bot is quite a worthy accomplishment.

Yeah, thanks. BTW, Robby, nice article!

Yes, I'm famous now as the guy who takes long lost robots home with him.

Whoa-ho-ho! Quite an accomplishment

And I'm mentioned in the article, too: "and then it got ugly"
