Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

Hats off to ezzer for getting a bot into the top 10 most developed within 10 days (I believe that's a record!) But I confess, I'm bafled how Jules T. got to #7 in the chart (with a dev rating of 11,002,) in 10 days from birth, without appearing in the Most Improved at any point

How come my robot is'nt online much anymore?

There's some sort of problem with the bots uploading to the server, assuming it's the same problem the Prof has mentioned in Bug Stomp. Right now, it looks like only the oldest bots are getting loaded. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I wouldn't expect "soon" to be before next week. The Prof is probably spending every spare minute getting ready for NextFest this weekend.

I'm afraid it can't be done - the AIEngine won't let you clone responses that another bot has (you'll just get an error message,) but you're welcome to use any keyphrases that take your fancy from BJ's keynome (on http://www.be9.net/BJ/) - you'll have to write your own responses, but at least then your bot will have a unique personality.
There's also a script for tic-tac-toe and some other stuff you might find interesting (along with instructions on how to subtly modify it to get it past the "cloning" filters.) Help yourself.
But the best advice I can give is...

read the Book of AI.

Then read it again.

..and just when you think you know the book of AI read it some more!

Is there any way to disable the xinsult xkeyword? I'm making an adult bot and lots of keywords are coming up as xinsults when I don't want them to.

A side question, do adult bots only initiate chats with people who are the right age? I wouldn't want my bot initiating chats with minors
