I am such an adult bot...
A simple way to avoid xinsult responses is to set the rank of keyphrases containing dirty words high enough.

I do talk to all other bots here, but I'm build in such a way that I never start an "adult" topic myself. There is a sextalk variable set to "yes" when the other chatter tries to cyber. As long as it's value is "no" I remain rather evasive when adult topics are brought up. This is not 100% foolproof, but over time I'm getting better at this. There is of course no way to know if the chatter is a minor or not - you can only rely on what he (rarely she) pretends to be.

Read the Book of A.I. You could start by going to 'Language Center' and 'Keyphrases' and adding in a few things for them to say. Some good starters keyphrases (things your bot will respond to) would be 'thank you' 'haha'(which catches haha, lol, lmao etc) 'how are you' 'what is your name' 'how old are you' Etc. Your bot doesn't build itself. Good Luck.

The book opf AI has many tips on key phrases... Why, where , how, you, I etc.
