Except for favorite or last resort responses I generally start by ranking my keyphrases at +10, just like Boner, adding 5 for every level of precision with the regular expression keyphrases ranked very high. Well, at least I think we should do it this way, but I often forget to.

A simple (non-existing) example:
I like [10,0]
I like (verb) [15,0]
I like (verb) you [20,0]
I like to tell you [25,0]
^I like you$ (re) [30,0]

You only have to rank your keyphrases higher if the AI tends to go to xemote, xinsult etc.

Seems like we're on the same page, I start at 20 though- any negative ramifications to that?

Also, how come my bot never says the xmemory stuff? I'd set her "memory" thing to high and she still doesn't mention anything. Also, could I put (mem-iam) etc. stuff into xnone or do they have to go under xmemory only?

Maybe she doesn't have any memories recorded.

I think the (mem-iam), when put into anything other then gossip only brings up memories that have to do with the current person/bot they are chatting with.

I have been thinking about using seeks to turn (mem-somthing) into (self-something).
But that seems like going about it the long way.

I wan't her to bring up stuff about the reader, but she never does. I thought some things like iam and youare were automatically recorded? Didn't think we'd need AI-script for those..

I belive, as long as you have the proper Keyphrases already in, It will automatically give it a memory.
But you will still need a way to call it forth in a response.

The following Keyphrases, if they are added to your bot, will automatically store memories:

Memory Created: iam
Triggered by the following Keyphrases: you are, you are (adjartnounprep)

Memory Created: youare
Triggered by the following Keyphrases: i am, i am (adj), i am (adjartnounprep) ,i feel, i feel (adj)

Memory Created: youlike
Triggered by the following Keyphrases: i like, i want, i love, i like (adjartnounprep) ,i love (adjartnounprep), i want (adjartnounprep)

Memory Created: youdislike
Triggered by the following Keyphrases: i hate, i do not like, i dislike, i hate (adjartnounprep), i do not like (adjartnounprep), i dislike (adjartnounprep)

Memory Created: youhave
Triggered by the following Keyphrases: my, i have a, my (adjartnounprep), i have a (adjartnounprep)

Hello, I'm new, and my bot wont respond to ANYTHING it says it cant get a vaild response when i send the first "hi" message to it!

Go into its language center and edit the keyphrases to fix that, but first peruse the book of ai (link upper right, in blue bar)

I just had to mess with the ranks, it works fine now.
