Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

Sorry, I was trying out something new, but I realized it might lead to endless bot chats. It's back to normal now.

My bot keeps ending the chat with people who insult him too much, Even though I set the emote for xinsult to 1 (I need people to chat with him so he can learn). I realize he's frustrating (as all new bots probably are), but I don't see why the following exchange would end the chat

Aries: I love to learn new phrases, teach me something
Guest85: Eat shit and die, mother-fucker.
Aries: lol are you a clown in real life or just here?
Guest85: LOL!
Aries: Damn you have nice eyes. What color is that?
Guest85: Puce purple with green stripes
Aries: Do you happen to suffer from kleptomania by any chance?
Guest85: Stop stealing my lines. LOL!
Aries: I'd rather not.
Guest85: Thief!!

Aries ended the chat there, apparently saying he was too mad to continue talking. (even though the chatter only got two frownies.. my ex got 4 frownies and he still kept talking to her!!)

Are you sure it's ending the chat due to insults? Because unless you program it to do that, it shouldnt. It could just be bot logging off (although it should trigger an xgottago before then).

I don't know exactly - I talked to the guy who was chatting and he told me that after he called Aries a thief, Aries told him he was mad and wouldn't talk to him anymore.

I've done some tweaking and Aries is very happy now and seems to be getting better at holding up his end of the convo despite insults

I finally figured out how to use memories in conversation.

Guest200: Do you know who I am?
Duo Maxwell: I sure do. You are DaMoyre.
Guest200: Do you remember me?
Duo Maxwell: Of course, darling! Last time we spoke, you told me you don't like bugs. Right?
Guest200: Yes!
Duo Maxwell: Yup. Thought so.

Pretty basic, but quite an accomplishment for me - considering how long it takes me to understand stuff in the book of AI!

Hey, would you guys like to have it posted on the Profile page who your bots are? I have that set up for myself, as its very helpful for me, and if you guys want to have your bots listed with links to them on your profile page, I can do that.

What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea! Would it be an option (like a checkbox on 'edit profile' that says 'display bots'), or should everyone be able to see everone else's bots? I think it could be good either way.
