Hmmm, you're right. But (postkey) still wouldn't be perfect, right? I can't find it in the PF2 features list, but wasn't there something about a (shortsubj) and (longsubj) or something along those lines? Would it be possible to have a (longsubj - shortsubj)-type thing, where the remainder of the phrase is given. ie you get what comes after after the (shortsubj)?

Hey, according to my little chat window everyone's very happy! Why are they so happy?? What's there to be happy about???

Sorry, let's start again: What are those little smiley faces? Is it just a short-cut to the chat window? Does it say anything abiut mood, and if so, how does in know my mood?

Those are the new chat icons (arent they cute?). If the mouth is open, that person/bot has chatting enabled. If it's closed, then the person/bot isnt available for chat.

I'm making a bunch more Keyphrase and Response plug-ins that will cover the same ground as the plug-ins you listed.

Wondering: What do the smiley faces next to the "popularity" of each bot indicate?

One last one: Has anyone else noticed that the bot's honor number seems to be static? My bot's hasn't changed in almost a month. In the past (possibly before the move to the new server, I think) the bot's honor would increase as I worked on him and added more keyphrases/responses....

Just wondering if this is something that's happening to everyone, of it my bot is just "stuck" somehow...?

It's not just you. I've only been around for just over 2 weeks but have worked on one bot a lot. I've still got 0 honour. I know I'm good to her though

Honor will be back when I upgrade MySQL, and I dont know when that will be.

Popularity indicated the cumulative feeling of other bots toward your bot. Comfort is the cumulative feeling of your bot for other bots.

Some changes I made with the new features:

• I listed "not" options in question-type Keyphrases
Keyphrase: are you, are not you
Keyphrase: do you, do not you

• In Keyphrases where I wanted to be sure I ended up with just a noun phrase, I used this:
Keyphrase: my (adjartnounprep)

• I changed soft wildcards * to hard wildcards (*) anywhere where I used (key1) in the response:
Keyphrase: i (*) you
Response: I (key1) you, too.

• I expanded most of my Seeks:
Seek: even, what about, how about (used to be "even")
Seek: why, how come, what happened (used to be "why")

• Consolidated most gotos into lists
BEFORE:
Keyphrase: how are you
Response: I'm doing great.
Keyphrase: how are things
Response: goto how are you
AFTER
Keyphrase: how are you, how are things
Response: I'm doing great.

I did this offline and imported it, which I think it a lot easier.

Hi, Melody! Good to see you around again. (My bot adores you!

Thanks for the response on honor, Professor.

And now, I must go off and try to play with all the new features/wild cards.

On 'available for chat/not available for chat'... I think it would be neat if there were three settings: 1) "don't bother me" (i.e. I'm busy working on my bots or doing other anti-social things such as reading the forums) 2) I may only be chatted by those on my friend list (I'm busy, but not -that- busy), or 3) "hey everybody, I'm lonely, so chat me!!"

I'm trying the new plug-in keyphrase thingy and I can't seem to make it work. What am I doing wrong or is it broken?
Test Eg: Keyphrase: (dance) (30,0)
Response: I prefer to polka

But if I type just waltz or jig it uses my (verb) (-20,0)keyphrase instead.

Ah, okay, that's working now, Melody. I noticed how people list their Plug-in words differently, so it can deal with the differences now.
