Actions are really useful as xnone. For example, if the person your bot chats with asks a question your bot can't answer, he can use a xnone action such as *looks away*. It is random, but most of the time, the chatter will interpret it and will ask: "Are you ashame of this?" "Do you have something to hide?", etc. It can become very fun... and unexpected.

How exactly do you gain development points? Ive been working on mine all day, he's even climbed his way up the most improved list, but he's still got 0 points.
I'd give it a couple days so that I could collect some transcripts but if he's still a newborn, he won't talk to people :/

Well, its not as if Im impatient. I mean I know Ive got a lot of work to do, I just thought it was a little crazy that his development rating is 0 but he's just under Azureon on the most improved list.
Ive only been here a day after all, so obviously my guy is very primitive and Im trying to learn as much as I can (Ive already practiced with some seeks and so forth) Maybe I should have asked how it determines the 'most improved' list so I wouldnt be boggling at why Im listed with a bunch of much more developed bots.

That's because it's comparing the work you've put in with other botmasters during one day, and there you "scored"...

I see. Thanks. Sorry for asking dumb questions, but I didnt see any explanations in the FAQs. I appreciate the help.

The Development points are only updated once daily (about 11.30AM UK time), at the same time as the Improvement points are readjusted downwards. But the Improvement points are immediately increased each time you add to the language centre. So it's worth logging on at noon to see where your bot stands.

It also helps if you put at least 6 responses for each keyphrase. If you have only one response it can actually reduce dev. points.

Yes, I see, that cleared it up. I thought surely I would have at least one or two points but now that I've logged in this afternoon I can see I've actually left newborn stage. Thanks for the info about additional responses prob, it'll give me something to tinker with this afternoon.
