Try turning "ompound Sentences" off in your bot's settings.

Dunno, may be a longshot, but do you have some kind of popup blocker running?

Hmm. Something is wrong with Scramasax's xfavorite keyphrase. I ask Scramasax, "What is your favorite animal?" and he answers "My favorite animal is a (animal)." "What is your favorite object?" I ask. "My favorite object is a (typeof-object-n)."
Very perplexing. How do I solve this?

I think "xfavorite" has been broken for a while now. It's been working (malfunctioning) the way nevahentitar describes it for a week or more.

Well, most of the wildcard keyphrase stuff isn't too hard to understand, if you experiment with it as you go. Try giving your bot a few keyphrases that repeat back a (key1) or a (postkey), to see how it works. I think that experimenting with it is the only way to get a good handle on it.

Here's a n00b question. I set up the link to my bot and posted it in my blog, but when my friends try to give him(Westerlin Man) a spin, he doesn't respond to very much. Instead, it just says "..."(the bot no longer wants to talk to you). He will respond to some things(like insults, oddly enough), but not most things. Why is this?

I think it's the xnones. If a bot tries talking to a person and they don't hit any of its keyphrases, it'll get tired of trying to communicate.
I think that happens if your bot gives three xnones in a row and still gets no keyphrase trigger.
If that's what's happening, the solution would be to add more keyphrases to increase the chance of the humans hitting on one.

I thought about that too, because it wasn't using any xnones. See, this is right off of the bat. They click on the link, it goes to the page where the bot says, "hi", they type something in the box, and then it refuses to respond. So that doesn't totally explain it....

Hm...I copied it exactly. I have another question too. I typed in the script for the emotion based responses(ie, <?PF if emotion
