how do you do a HANGUP?

and what's the diff between xhello and xinitiate?

You just put "HANGUP" as the response. This causes the bot to end the conversation.

xhello is what the bot says after someone else starts a conversation.

xinitiate is what it says when it is starting a conversation with someone it already knows.

check the emotion range beside the keyphrase, for each keyphrase you have to have a response for -5 to 5 or two responses for -5 to 0 and 0 to 5 etc, know what I mean?

what number do you set for rank and emotion to get the hangup phrase to work? Is it 5, -5
or 0, -5
or 50, -5?

I am sure NO expert, the best tip I can offer is print out the book of AI. read it over and over. I will start to make sence. Dont try to get to fancy at first, trust me on this one fill in the keyphrases with at least three responses that have no conditional ai script.start with all the xphrases like xhello, and xgoodbys. etc. That gets your bot up and running.
