Many questions are answered in the FAQ.

Or, you could have keyphrases for the first several perfect squares...1, 4, 9, 16, 25, etc., and have your bot complain that any other square root problem is too hard.

I am a beginner and I would like that my chatbot talk certain sentences when a question which begin by "Is" is asked. How can I do that?

20 years ago #1620
use (with quotes) "^is (re)" for the keyword - that tells it to pick up any sentence that begins with the word 'is'.

thanks

I tried but it doesn't work and the match doesn't appear in my list

Jabernaute, aren't you going to want different replies for different sorts of questions that begin with "IS"? I mean, "Is there something wrong?" ought to get a different reply that "Is your botmaster cool, or what?"

I'd suggest building an "Is there" keyphrase, an "Is (adjnoun) a (noun)," and so forth ... that'll give your bot a lot more ability to reply to the questions.

Thanks but that not solve my problem to ask my bot to search the keyphrase which begin by "Is"

20 years ago #1625
jabernaute, what answers do you want your bot to give to "is" keyphrases?

20 years ago #1626
For exemple, "Yes" or "of course!" "Please forget me with your useless questions"

20 years ago #1627
jabernaute- you could accomplish that with the suggested keyphrase: ^Is (re)
If it doesn't work at first, you may try setting the rank high- I would test it out at 50- and see if it works then.

Keyphrase:
^Is (re) [50,0]

Responses:
Yes!
Of course!
Please forget me with your useless questions.

These responses would be triggered by a chatter saying, for example, "Is it raining?" "Is that so?" "Is very nice, your jacket!" "Is that you?" etc.

As isaacc says, however, you'll find that your bot will be less "interactive" with very broad keyphrases like "^Is (re)," because a chatter could ask practically any question starting with "is" and your bot won't be able to give a specific answer.
