Deadline to enter the CBC is approaching. If you haven't entered your bot please do so. The contest can't continue unless people are actively participating.

Hi w_cowart - I'm a bit confused - it says on the website

"The Chatterbox Challenge is currently in development:
The reconstruction process should ends by December 2008."

And I can't see how to enter - or have I entered by putting my bot in the directory?

I just used the 'contact us' form but I am probably wrong. I do really recommend entering the contest, It's fun, it's free, you get lots of good conversations for your bot. You can list your bot in the directory.

I really think everyone should enter, it's all free, tons of fun and you might be surprised when you win. There are

1st place - Gold Medal
2nd place - Silver Medal
3rd place - Bronze Medal

The Gold Medal will also be awarded in 2 different categories that being Most Popular Bot and Best New Bot.

You should at least put your bot in the directory to get more conversations from humans, it really helps your bot grow when you have human transcripts to work from.

Thanks prob123. I have put Vashenka in the directory and left a message on the forums there about entering the competition.

Thanks for your encouragement - it does sound fun. I think Vashenka's been getting quite a few more chatters since I put her in the directory, too.

Yes, Azureon hadn't had a human conversation in months. I put him in the directory and get at least one a day now.

Hmm, I tried to register on the forum in order to enter, and never got a confirmation email.

I don't see you entered Try again! they have a new link on the CBC home page. You have to add to the directory first

Are you sure you used the right email address? Check your spam box maybe.

If you still can't get it to work, one of us that's already signed up could enter your bot for you.

If you can contact him, please ask him about his username on the CBC forum so I can activate it manually.

Once I get his bot details, I will add it to the bots directory and include it to the contest.

I registered under the name "Fibonacci", which in retrospect is probably confusing since it doesn't match my user name here. But it does match my user name almost everywhere else, lol.
