It does..At least it always has for me????
(dayofweek) This inserts the present day of the week, such as "Monday" or "Friday".
Using the chrono statements allows you to have specific replies to each day as opposed to the single "Today is Monday" statement.
It also allows you to do other things, ie. "what day is it tomorrow?"
It's Tuesday. <?PF chrono: week(M); ?>
"What day was it yesterday?"
It was Sunday. <?PF chrono: week(M); ?>
Hope that helps
LO, I'm not sure which bot you mean. <0>
I meant MotBot. Wrong spelling I don't actually mind. If you want to see what I mean, then go to that bots website and see what it's bot master says about the rules for his bot, also may take a look at the 10 questions and the answers. I noticed that botmaster forbids people talking in rude ways to his bot and warns about the IP he will have of the visitors for abuse, but it doesn't stop his bot from insulting visitors. I like every participant having a fair chance to win depending on how good the bot does, but I can't see how good MotBot is. Sorry, but it's puzzling me how that one got up so high being considered good. Just english speaking bots are allowed for this contest, so I don't think that bot speaks german, don't know haven't tried it, it's just a german botmaster who speaks poor english. Oh well... whatsoever... I just wanted to say what I had to say.

The only B I got from K-12 was in first grade spelling. Honestly, I think it was because the teacher couldn't read my handwriting. I'm willing to bet my spelling was correct (I was that kind of kid)

I'm glad it worked for you, Eugene. Just so you know, it isn't always about teaching methods. When I was diagnosed "dyslexic" my mom got me into all sorts of phonics programs. They helped some, but they didn't change the way my brain works.
I also sometimes flip around sounds, words and even entire phrases. I know what I mean to say, damn it! I don't like the "dyslexic" label. I read a lot and scored well on standardized test in both verbal and math.
I am really more dysgraphic. When I first started trying to use html code (not that long ago), it took me weeks to realize I flip / and \ around in my head fairly regularly (I can't type either and I have to look at the keyboard) so now I have to make note of the "?" on the key whenever I can't close a tag. Such is life.
Anyway, I'm glad phonics worked for you guys. Spellcheck, copy and paste work for me, most of the time. It's all good.

I may be misunderstanding, psimagus, but why not use the ai plug-in (dayofweek)?

because that would provide a random answer from the entries in the plugin. But <?PF chrono: week(M); ?> will provide a correct answer.

(dayofweek) This inserts the present day of the week, such as "Monday" or "Friday".
(year) This inserts the present year.
(month) This inserts the present Month, as in "June" or "August".
prob123
what is the date?
Bildgesmythe
It's Sunday the 9th of April in the year 2006:
I'll check but as long as the ai engine is running I have never seen it make a mistake.

Another math major that I graduated with had pretty bad dyslexia. It showed up the most when were were doing Analysis proofs with long strings of < signs. She would get < and > mixed up all the time. If she thought really hard about it every time, using the "alligator eats the big number" pneumonic, she could get it right, but if she wrote it down without thinking she'd often get it backwards.

Just chatted with Motbot and I have to say I'm not impressed. His bot simply asks 'why' continually and then parrots back what you have said to him before. I can't see him winning much of anything.
