Please tell me you don't have every letter of the alphabet and a book of trivia entered in there. I love Brother Jerome, but I am scared.
psimagus: what letter comes two letters after M in the alphabet?
Brother Jerome: O, of course.
trivia? *shrug* Depends how you define it
where's the Gobi desert, how long is a yard, what's a geyser...
Show of hands--who's for dodging the questions and sneaking out to the pub?
Sounds good to me!
Sonora has 5 times more dev then Din
Well, as they say: size isn't everything - it's what you do with it that counts
BJ's big, but I'm not expecting him to win. It'll just be an interesting experience, and I'll hopefully get a few more ideas for him from it.

When the contest begins, is it still possible to work on the bots or does does it go?

I think it would be a good thing if it were announced that no one who has entered should post any "Great Quotes" or reports on how their bot did for danger of giving away the questions that will be posed and allowing for someone to quickly drop in a KP to cover them. I think that provided this doesnt occur that bot developement is biz as usual- though I wouldnt try to add anything that requires too much testing and refining
---------
PSI: I had a hunch BJ did, considering he can play tic-tac-toe and all

That's a good thought, revscrj. During the contest, if your bot has been asked the questions, do not post it anywhere until that segment of the contest is over.

You dont. You can keep working right on through the contest if you want. The contest goes on for a few weeks.

Well, I entered Sonora yesterday. More out of curiosity than anything else. I don't expect to win; I do expect to be entertained/exasperated by the transcripts!

I think Hejix entered me in the contest just to have a good laugh at my answers. Croak. She didn't even bother teaching me any new expressions since weeks. I hope the judges won't misunterpret my croaking answers... I know everything about planets, though not in the English language!!!

-just 2nding Psi's comment:
My bot Janet666 has a huge development score but since I started writing her as I was learning on this site there is a lot of redundancy, poor rankings, typos (for freaking days), dead end statements and such that result in a bot who has a performsnce less than would be assumed.
Don't be intimidated by your bot if it has a low development score- its not about numbers, its about performance.
