Hello,
The 9 bots below have been selected to be in the finals of the 2005 CBC based on the 10 question scores. The 10th bot will be selected by a vote of the botmasters. The following rules apply:
1) Only botmasters who have entered this contest can vote.
2) Botmasters making the finals can vote as well.
3) You must select 2 bots. You may vote for your own bot.
4) You can not vote for the bots who have already made the finals.
5) Deadline to vote is 4/30/05 at 9.00 pm Eastern Standard time. Any votes received after this date will not be counted.

Hello,
Just a bit of information. All the judges have been instructed to identify themselves when they are testing the bots. For example Hello, my name is Judge 1
I did this just so you can clearly identify who the judges are when you are reviewing your logs.
Good Luck to everyone....I hope all the PF tank.

Well, I guess it's too late now.
I find it interesting the CreatureBot got first prize for "Best Interface". I would say it gets first for "Most Annoying Interface".

Julie just had a conversation with someone calling themself Judge3, and missed a lot of keyphrases because of some coding error on the user's end that made apostrophes come up as other symbols:
Guest48: I’m sorry JT you’re boring me, maybe I’m boring you
Julie Tinkerbell: Do you have any evidence with which to back that up?
In the preceding exchange alone there were at least 3 possible keyphrase matches that were missed because of this. Any time the user said "I'm", "you're", or any other contraction (which is almost every exchange), it comes out "I’m" or "you’re", or whatever. Weird.

I woulnd't worry about it - Aries finally spoke with a Judge 3 and it didn't seem to be CBC related

Eugene-
Creaturebot got bronze for best interface last year, but I don't see any categorical scores for 2005 posted yet, other than Most Knowledgeable- am I missing something?

The 2005 CBC has ended. Final results are on the contest site. I have a few notes from the judges to pass along to some of the botmasters that might be helpful in future contest. I think they call that constructive criticism.
