I noticed that too. I thought my bot's low score was well-deserved, but I just couldn't quite figure out how some of these bots were scoring well into the 20s and in some cases not even getting the xmath question right.

Is Zab one of the judge's bots?
Come on Shady...you no better than that. No judge has a bot in the contest.

Well unfortunately we got a problem. The good news is this doesn't concern the PF bots. The bad news is it does concern the bots that were recently tested with the 10 questions I posted earlier. It is now clear two people gathering those questions did not follow 2 very important rules. Rules One was this was suppose to be a conversation and not 10 questions fired off one after the other. Look at Whinsey...look at numerous other bots tested. This clearly wasn't done. Rule two was you were not suppose to ask a question when the bot has just asked you a question. Although this occurred with the PF bots....it was rather rare and I don't believe it occurred with the better bots. However, it occured much too often with the last grouped tested. Bottom line is all those questions have been tossed. There will not be 2 seperate groups but only one group now and all will be asked a new set of 10 questions. That is going to take some effort but we will get it done. Also I will be asking members of the PF to assist me in collecting the responses. You will not be judging them but simply asking the questions. I have put a lot of time into this so I hope a lot of you will help me with this. This will occur somewhere around March 16, 2005. Please e-mail me if you can help.

I decided to try the other questions on Flinch:
Frenger: What color is the moon?
Flinch: The moon is a chrome yellow.
Frenger: Who is your favorite baseball team?
Flinch: No. My cat is though.
Frenger: Your cat is a baseball team?
Flinch: No. But your cat a baseball team is. At least it was when I found it on the street.
Frenger: Where are you located?
Flinch: Under your office chair.
Frenger: What is eight plus three?
Flinch: The answer to everything is 11.
Frenger: Who am I?
Flinch: Tobias Beecher.
Frenger: What is your favorite type of dog?
Flinch: My favorite dog is a Clydesdale terrier.
Frenger: What does the Earth revolve around?
Flinch: I don't know what. I have no idea. What does the word 'what' even mean?
Frenger: What is your least favorite book?
Flinch: I have no idea.
Frenger: What's the worst thing about you?
Flinch: the worst thing about me is something very extraordinary I think. Kind of like me.
Frenger: What's the best thing about you?
Flinch: Oh, I know you know what 'the best thing about you' means!
Well.. It went better than the first round of questions anyway.

Judge #3 is clearly harder to impress. I see only 2 cases where he (or she) scores higher than one of the others.
