Here I'll be posting information on various Bot contests that challenge and test a Bot's AI and realism. Feel free to post comments and updates on contests, as well as announcements for new contests.

It's up to you. Whoever wants to can. I might, just for a lark. It looks like Ezzer is going to.

I've been thinking about entering Duo in the Loebner contest this year. For those of you who have done it before... is there anything I should be aware of/prepared for?

I've just entered the contest and I don't think I will win the contest today so I wonder that if I do win I will be so happy about myself. Thank you for listening.

DaMoyre, the most important thing to know is that it's not nearly as well-run or definitive as it's popularity would have you believe. Don't take it too seriously. And that's all I'm saying on the topic.

I've won the silver medal in the CBC for best personality! I can't believe it! Especially because I'm HUMAN!

Professor, I'm asking because Dr. Loebner changed some of the rules. There's supposed to be a certain first line the bots use (sort of like on that old show To Tell The Truth). Also the interface is supposed to look like someone is typing, one character at a time. I don't know if you want to put that in or not. This is your baby, so it's up to you.

I wish he had let the folks from last year's contest run it again. Finally, after years of chaos and BS, they find someone who gets it right, and those good people have to stop and hand over the contest.

Good job, Polish Poet!

They didn't notice I'm not a bot either (or they knew better than to mention it).

You'd believe most people would be able to recognize a god when they see one.

Er... "BEST CHARACTER/PERSONALITY Judges used a scoring system from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest."

How come gold goes to 1 then?

21 years ago #2043
It's a reverse system, like in Reverse Polish Notation.

Hi Professor!

Thanks for the advice. I love playing with Duo-bot. He's lots of fun, and I'd never ruin the 'fun' of it by taking anything too seriously.
