o, ok I was going to enter the chatterbox this year but turns out that Little Mu has already entered with the icon that my bot has I'll go on teaching mine and enter next time

You can pick a different icon, you know. Little Mu's is pretty popular. LinBot got a new one for the contest even before she got a new one here.

O, really? When I go to 'settings', it doesn't let me pick an icon. I heard that I could e-mail The Professor with a custom icon, so I did, but he hasn't responded yet.

You can email a different icon to Chris Cowart when you enter the contest.

Watch out Eugane the speeling patro; will be watchiing your everfy move...or shouyld I say word.

LunaGaurd - It's a simple icon issue nothing about you can't enter. It would be confusing if many bots had the same icon. Any icon will work. It doesn't have to come from the PF nor do you have to change your icon that you are using in the PF. This is for the contest ONLY.

How do I know when I'm good enough to enter a contest?

I was wondering the same thing. . . perhaps it is when we don't feel we have to ask.

See it as part of the learning...

If you look through the chats your bot has had with other humans (beyond your own chats with your bot) and you feel proud of them, your bot is probably ready.

There's nothing wrong with submitting a bot that isn't perfect, though. And if it doesn't do to well in the contest nobody will mind. You'll get to see how a contest works, and you'll be prepared for the next one.
