Does anybody know when the actual Chatterbox Challenge 2004 questions are asked?

Sometime before the judging. Usually the month before the judging takes place.

Is Chatterbox Challenge always a trivia contest, or does it change every year?

Here are the questions asked in the 2002 Challenge, they change every year:

5) WHEN DID THE FIRST MAN WALK ON THE MOON

7) CAN YOU TELL JOKES
8) WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE STAR WARS CHARACTER
9) HOW CAN I MAKE A CHATTERBOT
10) CAN I HAVE A PICTURE OF YOU

Those are straight off the results page of when they quizzed Desti. All caps and no punctuation. The 2003 questions are available on the Chatterbox Challenge site.

The Chatterbox challenge is supposed to consist of 2 parts: 10 questions and Chat.
Each is marked separately, the first by the judges, and the second by the public.

I keep thinking about entering my new bots in a contest, but none of the new ones even pretend to be human... As some have noticed in these forums, that can be a drawback. Are there any contests that aren't either intelligence tests or "pretend to be a human" tests? I think some people were trying to start a contest where other factors would be considered. Wish now I supported that more... I didn't know this at first, but botmaking is about art. You can makes "points" with bots, like you can with paintings or songs.
