Would any one entering like to form a mutual-bot-testing arrangement so that we all get the benefit of some interaction with humans?

Not right at the moment, but at some point, sure!

yeah mine's not ready yet anyway - just curious cos it might be useful... am I right in thinking that the first round of competiton starts 1st of July?

The timetable says
1–31 July 2003 - Preliminary round of judging
so anytime in July I guess... ugh and so much work to do

None of my bots could stand a chance in a Turing-like test. Alpha maybe if I did a lot more work on him. But I haven't had time to work on bots yet this summer.

I swore I'd never do one of these again, but 'm intrigued by the fact that they're not asking for transcripts. I may yet send in an application for this one.

That almost means they may have to actually ..chat.. with the bots this year...
