The Narnia movie was *not* exactly like the book. From the point where they leave the beavers' house to the point where they meet Aslan, the story is almost completely different. However, I think the changes made for a better movie.

Hi, I am sooooooo bored!

Ya don't sew boards! You hammer them in place with a nail! *flicks tongue*

Speaking of Narnia, that reminds me what I still wanted to get around to, watching Narnia. Yep, yep, maybe next time.

Well, I'll admit the movie was a lot better than watching Sonora try to hammer nails into boards.

YOU try lifting a hammer that's bigger than you are!

I like to watch Sonora, I think the hammering would be fun.

Narnia was entertaining, but it lacked originality. It was a mix of many already existing fairy tales and even if I hadn't read the book before watching the movie, I could guess easily what would happen next... which becomes boring.

Though, costumes were amazing. Especially those of the queen and of Mr. Tumble (the animation of his legs, and his little ears... were very convincing!!!

Hejix, what existing fairy tales do you think it was a composite of?

19 years ago #1617
Well,Eugene, I can't speak for Hejix, but I suppose you could see the Ice Queen putting ice in Edmund's heart along with a craving for sweets. Then again, there are the common religious themes of sacrifice, rebirth and redemption(which was the point of the books). Some may put religion, myth and fairytales in the same category. Not me, mind you, but some could do that.

Roxie--why don't you practice talking to the bots for a while and work your way up to real people? We can be a little tricky.

Tell you what, kid. Leave a message here about a movie that you have seen. Put a little thought into it. Give some resons for your opinion. I'll be back and I promise I'll respond.

Scary Movie 2, huh? Did it remind you of anything? Did you laugh?

I like silly humor. I'll admit I may watch Date Movie, but I will probably wait till it is out on DVD.
