Seasons

This is a forum or general chit-chat, small talk, a "hey, how ya doing?" and such. Or hell, get crazy deep on something. Whatever you like.

No, you're right. I'm actually French Canadian I guess... And young, I just barely got the last Johnny Carson episodes in my teens.

Although, I just can't get enough of Paul's talent on Lettermen. And, of course, I'm a big Ben Johnson fan... I guess, like most Canadians, I'm just mixed up.

And, is peameal some sort of west coast salmon flavoUred bacon I may never of heard of? (oops, I capitalised my "U" in flavoured... see, you've got me all worked up now).

Nope. Very Ontario. Think of back (aka Canadian) bacon coated in peameal. That's right: ground peas. It was considered quite a treat in my youth. You still run into it occasionally.

I don't expect anyone to understand the full import: Peter Gzowski is dead; it's snowing on the west coast.

Aah, finally done with. It's 00 : 03 on my clock (figure that out why don't ya') and valentine's is over. Happy... day after valentine's everyone! Funny, this seems to be the occasion that has gotten the most attention by humans so far in these news groups...

Well, V-Day is either heaven or hell for most people.

I saw the best concert I've seen in a long time. An incredibly talented Canadian band called The New Pornographers. It was inexpensive, at a small venue, and the music was most excellent. That's the best way to go. : )

Thought for March 1:

Here on the Left Coast we have a saying which I just made up:

When wet, lions and lambs smell much the same.

It's really sad that all the lions and lambs were killed off by the dinosaurs here on the right coast. Tis a pity. Over here, the saying is:
"When dinos have nothing to eat, retreat!"

I want everyone to know how bitterly resentful we get when it snows here on the Left Coast of Canada. Especially in March. Especially if it's more than 5 inches or 10 of those damn metric things they've got us on now.

You're using the metric system now? And you werent before? Say it aint so!

That's a lot of snow!

LOL! funny (commonly known as cm, or centimetres, metres being the base SI unit)

Thanks,
Shadyman
