What if the "real world" is a deeper level of the Matrix, used to trap those minds that are in danger of escaping?

Precisely. Or what if the first-level world is really real, and the one reached by the red pill is the actual trap?

or maybe the matrix is a never ending loop, with infinite "real worlds" that are just deeper level matrixes?

They'd need a lot of people to power that...

Thats how the machines get power, they confuse people.

um i see.....right....so what would haooen if none got confused and we are all living in the matrix?

maybe there is no machine world, and the matrix was just a moneymaking figment of the Wachowski Brothers' imagination

I heard an interesting argument that the first matrix movie is the story of thr resurrection. Neo has his followers/decipals and they are on a mission to tell people about the what is really out there, and at the end one of his followers betrays him. then he is ressurected. It was an interesting argument but I don't belive it. (excuse spellings)

The first Matrix movie has some very obvious, and some not-so-obvious parodies of Christianity. *Of course* Neo is a messiah figure. That's one of the obvious ones.

I don't know that I'd call them parodies... More like parallels.
