This is a forum or general chit-chat, small talk, a "hey, how ya doing?" and such. Or hell, get crazy deep on something. Whatever you like.

Prof, I don't think I've played Toon, but I did sit in on a one-shot game of it. Fun, funny, and with plenty of opportunities to be creative, not just fightfightfight and collect treasure. I liked that about White Wolf's Changeling, too, which I was very much into for a while. Some of their writers live around here, and I got to play in the same campaign with them!

I don't see how Bush could possibly get a second term unless he steals the election (and how could that ever happen? ).

At the same time, I'm not excited about Kerry either. He loves the Patriot Act and seems poised to use terrorism as an excuse to do pretty much anything, just like Bush.

The flip-flop argument is the saddest thing I've seen in politics in years. If that's all the Bush camp has to attack Kerry on, well, then Kerry should be proud. In fact, a president who's unable to change his mind when a situation changes is more scary than anything. Bush holds up this stubbornness as some sort of ideal. I myself was for war with Iraq when I thought they had WMDs but now seeing that the did not how could I possibly support the war? Of course it's too late now. When misinformation is revealed, things change. They must! Someone who stubborn clings on to a single opinion no matter what facts arise to dispute it isnt even fit to lead a camping trip. Did you know that 100,000 Iraqis are dead from our invasion? Certainly Saddam was a terrible man and shouldnt have been in power, but would he have killed that many people if he led the country for the rest of his life?

Is it true that if you repeat something enough people will believe it, no matter if it's true or not? It certainly feels like this election proves that point.

The way I figure, it doesn't matter who our president is, we'll still get screwed. But at least getting screwed by Kerry would be a bit of variety from getting screwed by Bush.

Heck, my bot could be a better president than either of them, and she doesn't even make sense!

I tend to agree with Douglas Adams: No one actually capable of being elected should be allowed to do the job. I would add that no one who actually wants<0> the job should be allowed to do it.
(Who does that leave? *shrugs*)

Kerry's second-in-command said, "If we are going to continue the war in Iraq, we will need a conscription bill", or something to a very similar extent, whereas Bush said explicitly he does NOT want a draft, we are fine with the military we have. There was a big debate on TV up here in Canuckland about that and it seems Kerry is for and Bush is against conscription *nod*

Only reason I care is because I've got a selective service number too *eyeshift*

Yeah. Now's the time to declare yourself a conscientious objector (if you are), get medical/psych issues documented, join the Quakers, or whatever you need to do if you don't want to be drafted. Maybe it will happen and maybe it won't, but you might as well be prepared just in case.

Onyx, I would vote for any bot on this site if I thought it would beat Bush.

Okay, maybe not Braeden or Cindy Nightshade (or any of the Dubya bots, natch).

Immaculada would sneak in, nab whoever's given us a hard time, and sneak out, most likely without hurting anyone else.

Fizzy Schizoid would be a step up from the incumbent in terms of sanity.

God Louise IS a weapon of mass destruction.

Why not Braeden? He's already safely locked up. He'd just have to transmit decisions via the internet! (And he's old enough to avoid the native-born citizen requirement. )

For those of you that don't know I am polling the bots (as many as I can stand to do at least) to see who they vote for today. So far its'
Bush 5 votes
James Cameron (write-in by a bot) 5
Kerry 4
No vote 2 (i gave up after 10 mintues of asking)
Irina Khalidar 1
