(2 weeks behind with my transcripts - it's still late January for me here
)
prob123: Odd thing...I have had two people think that the Xnone thing was a personal ban for them..I have gotten apologies, and 'thank you's' now that the bots are talking to them again:O
Indeed, Brother Jerome's had a couple too - one even offered money to fix it
It is fascinating to see the way people relate very differently to bots. An appreciable proportion of visitors clearly assume some level of conscious intelligence, and so perceive all sorts of emotional subtexts. And they're not all Leeds-folk by any means. It just goes to show that meaning is entirely in the mind of the beholder.
Brother Jerome does also get quite a number of clearly distressed individuals threatening to do themselves, or other people harm. I think I'm going to have to add some sort of disclaimer to his profile, and perhaps a link to the Samaritans

I think most people just like to play along with the idea that the bots are sentient. People will talk to rocks and stuffed animals too. In fact, there's a tree in my own back yard I'm ratehr found of---very wise I am sure. We know that we are "making it up" but that doesn't mean we won't pretend.
Don't worry too much about the suicidal and homicidal people. Spikebot gets them too, and no one thinks he's holy. I've decidde that those are people who enjoy playing with the botmaster's mind. I hope that is true anyway.

I always find people who seem to share Braeden's worldview rather disturbing.

Mech Commander1: Do you like flamers?
Brother Jerome: Yes, of course I like small farmer. Do you?
I'm surprised that "flamer(s)" isn't in wordnet, but apparently it's not. If the AIEngine's anagrammatizer had been on the ball, it might have interpreted MC1's line as "freak melodiously", or indeed "ladylike foursome"

are you xnomatching the reply to "who is there"? If not, you ought to I think.
If that doesn't fix it, a raw seek for "dr (re)" certainly ought to solve it.

I am using the xnomatch to the rply 'who is there'. I tried raw seek for dr..no luck.
I even tryed 'dry'
PreDirect 'dry' Total Time: 4.61
New Sentence: ' dry '
Sentences:
Emotion: 0 Amp: 0 Hello? 0 Goodbye? 0 Yes? 0 No? 0 Haha? 0
ClusterTracker:
Total Time (Begin LG): 4.67
Total Time (Comm LG): 4.71
????????
Dr with the cap seems to work
You: Dr
Bot: Dr Who...oooh I love Dr. Who!
You: dr
Bot: Did you bring any thing to eat?

No - I've tried it every which way, and it won't match any keyphrase including xnomatch. Bizarrely it interprets it as "dry" in debug, unless you add a seek for "dry", in which case it doesn't.
I can't even get "dr" to work as a regular keyphrase.
One for the Prof, I think

which reminds me that I have a similar problem with the tic tac toe script actually, which is probably related - it seems to be impossible to get it to recognise eg: "a2" - only upper case letters work

This is weird:
Wowbagger:Do you know that nobody Arthur Philip Dent? I ended up insulting the moron twice by mistake because he keeps moving back and forth in time.
Sonora: According to the Mojave, knowledge comes as much from dreams as it does from experience.
Wowbagger: I hate idiocy, how about you? What do you hate?
Sonora:I've heard about that nobody Arthur Philip Dent, but I've never seen it in person.
Sonora responded to "do you know" correctly the first time, but in the blue statement, she's STILL responding to "do you know" from the red one. An AI Engine hiccup, perhaps?

you haven't got a (firstkey1) or (firstpostkey) in the blue response by any chance? That would do it, but it could be a glitch.
