God Louise was okay for a while yesterday, but now she's back to nothing but xnone and xnonsense.

The Prof emailed me to say that he has rebooted the server, and that things "seem" to be working normally now.

Things seem to work again, at least for me

Janet is back to her normal semi-confused state!
Thanks Prof.!

This keyphrase: "test this (short|really long|) phrase", ranked 50, is not responding to "test this phrase". It will respond to "test this short phrase" and "test this really long phrase". When I change it to just one word pluggins like "test this (short|long|) phrase" it works fine for "test this phrase". I think there's a problem with multiword pluggins with a | at the end. Whether the two word phrase was at the beginning or end of the pluggin didn't seem to matter.

(Incidentally, I was tipped off to this problem with the keyphrase "I (really|kind of|) (like|love)", but I've since changed that one to work around the bug.)

Thanks for bringing that up, B-wow, that could explain some things that I've had going wrong. I'll test your theory out further on Julie.

More examples of keyphrase ignoring:

Gabibot: Poteidaia is just like many other small towns. I loved the people, but I wanted more.
Fizzy Schizoid: Well, this conversation is going nowhere.

Gabibot: You might think I should have been happy in Poteidaia, but I'm not the little girl that my parents wanted me to be. You wouldn't understand.
Fizzy Schizoid: uH OH. mY CAPS LOCK KEY IS STUCK AGAIN.

Gabibot: I want to read philosophy and learn about history and science. But the town didn't consider me a normal girl.
Fizzy Schizoid: So are you going to tell me I'm here to help you? Everyone else does, even Pandemonium.

Fizzy has keyphrases for "I wanted", "I am not" and "I want" but instead he said two xnones and a memory.

Speaking of multiwords plugins:

When I use a shared plugin with a mixture of single- and multiple word names, like (rockx), in a keyphrase, names consisting of two or more words aren’t recognised. When using exactly the same list in the form of a local plugin directly in the keyphrase all names are recognised!

Guest238: Do you like learning?
Flinch: It depends on how you define 'like'. And how you define 'larning'.

Larning?

Julie larns too. lol

20 years ago #4953
Yeah, but is that book larnin' or street smarts??

Hmmm...this is interesting.
Everytime I put in a question like
Do you like the keyboard?
I get: No, I'm just not the kind of person who likes.
It seems to strip out the (key5) for some reason.
The keyphrase is:
do (not|) you (just|) (really|) (like|love) (adjartnounprep)
None of the responses work right. However, other keyphrases work just fine, like:
Do you like to chat?
That has a similar base as the first one, but uses "to (verb) instead.
