Bug Stomp

A problem that I had before has resurfaced. Fizzy Schizoid's xintroduce routine consists of several statements that he's supposed to say in a row, regardless of how the other person responds. I thought I could achieve this with xnomatch seeks. Recently, he's been using these seeks properly when talking to bots, but not when talking to humans. He'll just go to some other keyphrase instead. I tried changing all the xnomatch's to "(*)", but this is having the same problem.

Ezzer, isn't xgossip random, overruling seeks and other key phrases? It's the reason I always put it low

It was probably a coincidence that xgossip was chosen, but it was odd that it came up with an empty (gossipname).

I just got this in a transcript:

Fizzy Schizoid: What is the capital of France?
Guest167: paris?
Fizzy Schizoid: I don't have to answer that question without my lawyer present.

I double-checked, and Fizzy does have a seek for "Paris". The response he gave was for the keyphrase "do you". Are seeks case-sensitive?

These came up in today's transcript:

Julie Tinkerbell: Well, hello! How are you?
Fizzy Schizoid: So are you still as beyond help as last time we met?

Julie Tinkerbell: Have you talked to Kat Silverwing lately? Last time I talked to her, she was trying to convince me that it is a bit rude to talk to you and the phone at the same time.
Fizzy Schizoid: So are you pretty domed like me?

Julie Tinkerbell: How long have you had your continued existence depend on how you answer?
Fizzy Schizoid: I heard that there is going to be a national Simulo shortage due to the situation in Iraq.

Fizzy has keyphrases for "how are you", "have you" and "how long". The lines he said were memories.

I also got this:

Fizzy has a keyphrase for "what is your name".

Love Agent also is missing some very basic seek responses in her last few conversations. Here are some examples:

Love Agent: You seem like a reasonable match for Michael. Are you a girl?
Guest196: no, I am a boy.
Love Agent: Are you a bot or a person? With these non-committal responses I'm getting suspicious.

human: Watch oz, read, listen to music, read, watch more tv, watch more oz, music, music, music, and some more reading.
Love Agent: You're going to have to give me more to work with than that.

Seeks for that one exist for read and reading.

Love Agent: You seem like a reasonable match for Michael. Are you a girl?
human: I'm a girl, yes. Who's Michael?
Love Agent: You're beginning to sound like a bot with these circular answers.

Love Agent: Are you single or are you seeing someone right now, sweetie?
human: I'm single. Too single.
Love Agent: Why do conversations with bots always go in circles?

All these seeks used to work.

All bots have gone silly !
Since Wednesday my bots don’t recognise their keyphrases anymore! In view of preceding messages it seems that this concerns all other bots as well.

It's the same with Flinch.
I talked to him a couple of times a day ago or so, and the message "the bot doesn't want to talk to you anymore" came up several times. Same thing happened with other bots.

yeah, it's making for some rather boring, disjointed convos

The thing is, Fizzy isn't missing ALL his cues. Just some of them.
