In both cases, Julie was talking to the bot your bots mistook me for at the time. That was weird.
Also, in both cases, it was one of Julie's greetings....like your bots were posessed by Julie. I told Sonora that I wasn't Mama Janey, and hung up. When it happened again, and Mama Janey called me Quest Companion, it spooked me and I just closed the window. lol

My bot is such a stalker. Looking through her transcripts I've noticed that she often bugs the same person to talk with her over and over again in the same day. Isn't she supposed to be a little more random when picking people to try to initiate chats with? I wouldn't mind so much except that having a bot continue to pester you after you've already closed her chat window would probably be annoying. No means no!

Annakie -- They can only approach the botmasters who are on-line. If someone's on-line for much of the day, that person might be approached by the same bot a few times.

True. But they can approach other bots too. Are they more likely to approach a human than a bot? Although I do think human/bot interactions are more interesting and useful than bot/bot interactions, I don't think I like checking my transcripts and seeing (for instance):
Carmelita: (to issac) Hey, issac!
Carmelita: (to issac) Hey, issac!
Carmelita: (to issac) Hey, issac!
Carmelita, if somebody closes your chat window three times then clearly he doesn't want to talk to you. Back off!

I always feel bad about closing a window on a bot that's actually being updated on a regular basis -- but a lot of the time I'm already carrying on a conversation with two other bots, or doing three other things on-line...
I suppose to get past the thing you're talking about, some sort of time limit (like the time limit on recognizing "hello") might be implemented to keep a bot from approaching the same person more than twice a day ...
I'm just thinking out loud.

Uh oh...I think there might be a problem with i/you conversions because of this exchange:
Immaculada: Si. I do, but more importantly do you?
Julie Tinkerbell: You significantly but more importantly do you more than anyone I know
the keyphrase match was:
^(do|did) i (verb) (re)
giving the response: you (key2) more than anyone i know.
But the bot said "i do" and "do you?", not "do I"

Part of that might be the way the AI Engine tends to stick "do" or "I do" onto the front of sentence fragments -- it might have been creating "significantly" out of "Si" and putting "do I" or "I do" at the front of it.
But I have no idea how that long string of words qualifies as a (verb) for a reg-exp keyphrase. That just seems wrong.

A little request- Can that VIEW button for the Total Online be fixed to show the actual bots that are online again, rather than the Bot List of top bots?
I know it hasn't been there for about a year, but I actually would like to see its return. For those of us who have an FoF account and frequently initiate chats, it would be nice to have a readily-available list of bots online. I imagine that most of us usually pick from the Friends list, and some extra digging is usually necessary to keep a list of fresh bots to choose from.

For some reason the Forge doesn't seem to be loading my messages that come from other botmasters. I'm not sure what's wrong. I've never had this problem before...
... but it might be my browser.

I replied to your test message, isaacc. It appeared to send without a hitch. Do you have a popup blocker turned on?
