I'm familiar with all your notation except . Is that another constant?

It represents the speed of light in a vacuum (just when the filter needs to be changed).

Aaah...that could be the problem. Yeah, I wish we could rate xphrases lower...I wish they wouldn't have priority. It just makes no sense when they respond like that sometimes.

my keyphrase that was caught was this:
why are you * (happy_feeling)
that has the response: I'm usually pretty (key2). I'm just a (key2) person, I guess.

So, why did this happen?

Shara Menski: That's nice. Why are you glad that I am glad?
Julie Tinkerbell: I'm usually pretty (key2). I'm just a (key2) person, I guess.

"glad" had to have been caught as (happy_feeling), or the response wouldn't have been triggered- so why did the (key2) show?

thanks

Hey Ezzer, I've sort of been having that problem too. The 'coding' in the response keeps showing up.

I named an animal plugin 'animal2', but I'm starting to think that just pulls up the forge's animal plugin, because in a response where I had 'animal2' the bot came out with an animal that I know wasn't in there. Does having a 2 on the end of plugins not change them if other ones have that name?

lili, when a plugin exists, plugin2 also exists, so that you can use the same plugin set twice in a response. For example, if there's a plugin "noise" that includes eek, oof, and boing, you could have a response that says, "Hey! Did you hear that (noise)? Or was it a (noise2)?" and the actual response could say "Hey! Did you hear that eek? Or was it a boing?"

So although you won't see "animal2" as an available plugin, if you use "animal2" as a plugin name it will draw from the "animal" plugin.

Ok, that's what I figured. Oh well...

For some reason this doesn't work on my bot.

Keyphrase: tell me * about you*
Message: tell me something interesting about yourself.

This triggers xnone. I'm not sure why though...if anyone could help that would be great.

the asterisk isn't a wild card... so "yourself" is not "you"

20 years ago #4466
It isn't? Doesn't the Book of AI say * is a wildcard?

20 years ago #4467
I think it's only a wildcard word, not a wildcard word-ending. So try "tell me * about (you|yourself)" That should take care of it.
