Vikki...tell the prof you want to delete the bot, I think you have to email him with your bot name and password, so he knows its you.

Eggroll--not a bug, just the result of the AI engine's attempt to make sense of a word that it doesn't know by spell-checking it. Yesterday someone told Frizella that he was "unbias" and Frizella interpreted that to mean that he was Anubis.

Charles: The teeth-gritting was one of those really difficult errors that I spent a long time on. It looks like it's a bug in the recent version of Flash, and I found a workaround, so it's working properly again.

Charles: Your bot was hanging up because it was in essence sending a blank message when "haha" was triggered, since you have responses that are just emoticons, which are stripped out in Flash Chat. I made some changes that would allow for messages like this. Your bot will just say "..." now, but it's probably a good idea to have at least one word in each response.

Ulrike & Ezzer: I'm unable to trigger any of the he-she problems you're talking about. Could you post the original part of the chat where it happened along with the original Response and Keyphrase?

Senorita: Your xinitiates are all conditionals, thus the "no valid Responses" Response. Remember that any Response with a (mem-something) is also a conditional, because it will only be selected if such a memory exists.

doulos: what (re) statement are you having trouble with, and what does it get changed to?

ezzer: I dont think there's any limit on (key)s. You'll have to look into that particular Keyphrase-Response to find the problem.

Everyone: The youare, youhave, youlike, youdislike, and iam memories should still be automatic. But remember that you have to have the right Keyphrases in your Language Center for it them to work (see the Book of AI).

Isaac: Regarding "Do not kidnap this bot".. What's your browser, browser version, and OS?

Isaac: The Ranking is correct. The Book of AI explains it, but in short.. the "do you" Keyphrase gets a Rank bonus for being at the beginning of the sentence AND being longer than the "Shakespeare" response.

dallymo: I've updated Frizella's face to be non-Flash.

vikki_black: I've deleted the requested bot

Fixed: The blank chat window problem

I officially love you, Professor! And the new Inner Life system is fantastic, thank you.

One question: I've had a look at the keyphrases that trigger memories. Do they include wildcards? Eg, 'i like' triggers an automatic youlike memory, but does 'i * like'? I've put wildcards in to account for phrases like 'I really like'.

Laydee, just a suggestion, but you might want to try (really|) instead of the asterisk. That way, your bot won't get fooled by something like "I don't like..." "I wouldn't like..." or "I hate people that like..."

Not that it really answers your question, just an observation.

instead of "please don't kidnap bots " when going to a flash chat I get This browser is problematic. Please use a different browser to be able to chat with the bot that should appear here. It's IE 6!

I like the new inner life thing, but one thing I found is that when you edit a memory when you're in a subsection, like , when you save the changes, you're back to the main inner life page. Could it be made so it goes back to whatever subsection you were in, if you were in one?
